Two days after she voted with other Democrats to pass a sweeping tax, health and climate bill, U.S. Rep. Alma Adams announced that she has tested positive for Covid-19.

In a statement Sunday, Adams said she was experiencing mild symptoms.

“I quarantined immediately following the diagnosis,” she said in the statement. “I have received four doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, so  I am thankful for the protection that the vaccine provides.”

While praising the “Inflation Reduction Act,” which passed the House on Saturday, Adams said in an earlier statement that she was disappointed that $3 billion for historically Black colleges and universities was stripped from the bill.
