The Hornets made the announcement in a Monday statement.
Selected by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, Ball is the fourth-youngest player in NBA history to earn the distinction and one of nine players with an All-Star selection before age 21.
Ball, 20, is in his sophomore season with the Hornets and is the first Hornets player to be named an All-Star reserve since Kemba Walker in 2019.
