Big Chief Donald Harrison Jr. Quartet, New Orleans Jazz Legend (April 8-9)

Need a little jazz in your life? See 2022 NEA Jazz Master, New Orleans cultural torchbearer, and saxophonist Big Chief Donald Harrison Jr. and the Jazz Room as they celebrate the kickoff to Jazz Room Season 16 and Jazz Appreciation Month. Be A Lion: Musical and Talkback (April 9)

Colorfully Custom: Sneaker Painting (April 16)

Creative the shoes of your dreams with vibrant colors and patterns with award-winning artist Frankie Zombie at Colorfully Custom: Sneaker Painting. Part of Charlotte SHOUT!, the experience will involve mostly leather paint, so leather shoes, such as Air Force 1s, Stan Smith Adidas, or even dress shoes, are needed for proper design. 2022 North Carolina Easter Festival (April 16)

Come out to the 2022 North Carolina Easter Festival, filled with festivities such as face painting, games, dance performances, crafts, vendors, and more. This spring, you’ve got a chance to see “Hamilton,” the acclaimed retelling of the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton that created a revolutionary moment in theatre. Yoga On The Rooftop

Every Sunday, you can find peace and let loose at the Harvey B. Gantt Center. Yoga On The Rooftop with SJ. Sajeedah Jones hosts an hour-long class that will lead you through a creative vinyasa flow – a sequence of poses linked to your breath – featuring hands-on assists and upbeat music.
